Once in a while it really hits people that they don’t have to experience the world in the way they have been told to.

Take me on a trip, I'd like to go some day Take me to New York, I'd love to see LA I really want to come kick it with you.
I'm back from London and I have so much to share with you, but today is #TBTunes day and I feel as though this track is so relevant to how I feel about life and it also is a source of inspiration of why I created this blog. First off I LOVE Estelle and of course you can all tell I have a soft spot for Kanye by sprinkling his quotes in previous posts. (See here and here)
But this song is about wanting to traveling, exploring cool places, and most importantly it's about getting to know the people not monuments and landmarks. I'm not going to get on a soapbox here, but I will say that London is an amazing city. The British people that I encountered in my exploring were ALL wonderful and I will forever be inspired by them.
Like I mentioned before I have so many food places, markets and gems of London to share with you. Look out for the blog post and if any of you have ever been to London, please feel free to share your experience and some of the cool places you discovered in the comments section below.
Happy Thursday people and again thanks for stopping by!

This week's edition of #TBTunes is dedicated to Mariah Carey. She is the epitome of feel good girlfriend music. Although Mariah has been having a rough couple of years including marital issues with the daddy to "dem babies" Nick Cannon and a few problems not being able to deliver all of her signature notes as effortlessly during live performances -- I love me some Mariah because we literally go back to when I was rocking pacifiers.

The musical great Stevie Wonder turns 65 today and we are celebrating his importance by jamming to our favorite Stevie tracks. Music is my first love and Stevie Wonder is definitely the reason. I have so many fond memories of his music being the soundtrack of my childhood and I have yet to meet or see this musical gawd live. I can even distinctively remember how happy I was watching him make an appearance on the Cosby show and I definitely remember having Rudy and Claire envy when she got a chance to play with him and add some vocals in the studio. lol (check it out here) I am on a mission to make this dream become a reality and when it finally happens I know it's going to be great, but until then I will continue to play out my vinyl and jam to the the playlist I've created for when I need my Stevie fix. Check it out and I hope that you all enjoy it!

It's Throwback Thursday (#tbt) and I've been listening to a lot of Frank Ocean this week. Maybe it's because he's pulled an Andre 3000 on me. But in the essence of #tbt and my love for music -- here's a complication of the old Frank, Lonny Breaux, pre Nostalgia Ultra in his mixtape/producer portfolio titled The Lonny Breaux Collection. On the lineup you can hear some of the tracks that he's written for John Legend and Brandy, Justin Bieber and Mateo and for some of you who really pay attention to music and background sounds, like I do, you will hear some of his background media contributions to some tracks on Watch the Throne and Beyonce's latest album.
All in all if you're not interested in samples and more into good music join me in listening to the compilation.
Happy #tbt and enjoy the tunes!
xxo,
A.Gamine
