Just when I thought Anti was starting to cool down, Kaytranada debuts a Remix to the album's second single, Kiss it Better, yesterday and it's been on repeat all morning.
This track came as a surprise considering he just released his first studio album, 99.9%, in early May of this year and is set to begin his Summer appearances today, at Highline Ballroom in NYC.
Kaytranada isn't the first artist to leave his mark on the Kiss it Better track. Earlier this year both Father John Misty and Miguel performed covers live at their shows. However, the 23 year old Canadian, electronic music producer and DJ left Rhi-Rhi's vocals, sped up the track and morphed it into something groovy.
Check out the track below and don't be afraid to follow his SoundCloud and continue to witness his groove.

We've been wondering WTF Missy has been since her blessing of a performance at the Superbowl earlier this year. This morning she graced us with her awesomeness by dropping a new video that reminds us why Missy is a #Girlboss.
Are you ready for Missy's return? I think this video just prompted me to create a "yall musta forgot" post dedicated to Missy. Stay tuned and Happy Thursday!

Erykah blessed my Soundcloud feed on Monday night with a track that's rumored to be a precursor to a new mixtape.
Perfect timing for a music convo that I had with friends and music lovers about her cover to Drake's "Hotline Bling". I think Erykah's still has it.
Are your feeling the track? Is Erykah Drakin' now? Comment your thoughts below.

As the internet world was in a frenzy yesterday waiting on Drake to release "Hotline Bling" , creating endless gifs and comparing D.R.A.M.'s first, "Cha Cha"; many missed the the release of new music from D.R.A.M., but don't worry I've got you covered.
D.R.A.M. has teamed up with SZA and released an extended version of "Caretaker" and I'm loving it!
Based on a few tweets D.R.A.M. put out one would think the song comparisons are getting to him, but I think he knows his sound is hot after getting a nod from Beyonce earlier this summer and some reassurance via tweet from Erykah Badu
@ONLY1DRAM we loved Cha Cha first. Very unique and raw. That's That underground magic force that sparks a seed to grow a tree. . . Ms. badu
D.R.A.M is in the studio cooking up his next EP GAHDAMN! which is set to be released in 2016.
I'm really cheering for this guy and I can't wait to hear more new music from him soon.
Are you feeling D.R.A.M.? Check out his current EP #1EPICSUMMER and let me know what you think.

If you fell asleep early last night you probably missed that Apple Music dropped Drake's "Hotline Bling" video, but don't worry if you haven't seen it yet, I've got you covered.
Drake, no stranger to the "Art world" , wanted to remind us again that he's not only new to this, but true to this by channeling all of James Turrell's eliminating amazingness. The Video, produced by Director X-helmed, manages to capture Drake in never-ending color filled boxes that resemble the well-known work's Mr. Turrell. Although, the artist's work was created to erase the viewer's depth of perception, Drake has managed to use it to remove my perception of what dancing should be
Like a savant, Drake has been dibbling and dabbling in 2015 and I am totally here for it. I thought the video was super cute and I really appreciated the nods to art and to Spike Lee with the Girl 6 themed video opener.
Girl 6
Hotline Bling
Was anyone else thinking Girl 6 at the start of the video? Are you feeling it?

With Summer coming to an end I can feel myself already becoming prematurely nostalgic about the many rooftop gatherings with friends, Summer Fridays, BBQs and how good my skin feels when the sun rays are shining bright. As the adage goes, "Winter is coming" and this Labor Day weekend signifies the last of summer weekends until next Summer.
Summer on the rooftop
BBQ and big bottles
We got on mini skirts and crop tops
Play the music loud because we can,
it's the weekend
If you want we can go until Monday.
I'm counting on those lyrics to get me through the brutal New York Winter that is ahead.
Thank you KT for blessing the track with your beautiful voice, thank you Barry (flash) Allen for producing such an amazing track and thank you SoulEtiquette for putting me on.
Happy Thursday and Happy Labor Day!

I'm whippin that work, he diggin that work. I got it, 36 of that real. Panky full of this bounce baby. Come and get you some of this bounce baby. -Beyonce
Just when I thought they were finished, Nicki Minaj and Beyonce' gave me a visual to Nicki Minaj's track titled ,"Feeling Myself," and contrary to some of the negative comments I've been hearing; about the video being exclusively released via Tidal and the ladies not challenging themselves creatively; I am feeling it! Like, you can catch me on the sideline yelling, "Go Bey, Go Oh-Ni-Kuhh slay" and "Girl Power," while taking cute selfies to send to bae.
Everything about it is about control. You want to support your husband's new venture, promote your Pinkprint album on Tidal, show off your sexy with another female artist who is at the top of her game, receive the highest percentage of royalties for your work, have control of you sexuality AND be fleekily silly while doing it? You would create this video.
Since March, Jay Z, has been hitting the boards hard with a mass-marketing campaign to relaunch Tidal. First, he he held a press conference introducing 16 major music artists on the stage, then proceeded to cross-over via social media, having artists change their profile pictures the color blue; and further driving it down in the paint, back in April, by challenging Tidal subscribers to impress him with their Tidal playlists to score tickets to the exclusive "Tidal X - Jay Z B - Sides" concerts that took place in New York this past weekend. To dishing off an alley oop to Nicki Minaj and Beyonce by making the full "Feeling Myself " video accessible only to Tidal subscribers. And they slammed dunked it! I'm sure it got them a couple hundred thousand Barbies and Bees to become free trial subscribers who will eventually turn into paying fans of exclusivity. (They definitely just got me)
Tease yourself with this short and go ahead and shamelessly download the Tidal app to your phone. Don't worry you'll have the chance to enjoy the video free of charge for 30 days. Feel it and enjoy another digital drop.
The musical great Stevie Wonder turns 65 today and we are celebrating his importance by jamming to our favorite Stevie tracks. Music is my first love and Stevie Wonder is definitely the reason. I have so many fond memories of his music being the soundtrack of my childhood and I have yet to meet or see this musical gawd live. I can even distinctively remember how happy I was watching him make an appearance on the Cosby show and I definitely remember having Rudy and Claire envy when she got a chance to play with him and add some vocals in the studio. lol (check it out here)
I am on a mission to make this dream become a reality and when it finally happens I know it's going to be great, but until then I will continue to play out my vinyl and jam to the the playlist I've created for when I need my Stevie fix. Check it out and I hope that you all enjoy it!
ELHAE, pronounced LA, serves as an acronym for, Every Life Has an Ending, is an Atlanta based artist that has made quite a name for himself (pun intended) on the blogs and internets.
With this name making he has also created a consistent buzz with his single track releases for a while now and he's managed to cop and interview with Soultrain.com (read here) and a premier release from vice.com for his new EP "Aura". With a little help of google - the background info is all new news to me and all I know is Soundcloud is a godsend and with it's notifications I've been getting these 'Rap n B' tracks from the source.
If you've been tuning in to my weekly segment called #SaturdayMorningTunes you may have noticed this guy's name on a couple of tracks.
Check out his EP and if you want more updates give ELHAE Facebook follow.
It's been exciting to see the world get into the trance of FKA twigs. Her videos are intricate visual conundrums that touches my inner inspector gadget. Whether it be the lyrics that I never seem to really hear until about the third time or the constant phallic visuals of her mouth juxtaposed with repetitive cuts of beautiful images of her in situational graphic circumstance that is some how not hard to digest because there is an element of familiarity.
Recently she's dropped a video to her song titled "Pendulum" and all I could think about after watching it a third time was the works of Jean Paul Goude, click here for reference.
Having relationships with other bloggers is so important. So I must give a shout out to, fellow blogger, @M3llowYellow for reminding me to keep my ears to the streets and dropping New York's music duo Lion Babe into my iMessages with a simple,
"Have you heard Lion Babe yet?"
Immediately I hit my two favorite places, SoundCloud and Spotify and I was put into a trance that only some of the best neo-soul artists could induce me to and buzzed through the crowd of New York after work commuters unbothered.
Lion Babe is a music duo our of New York that consists of lead singer Jillian Hervey (daughter of Vanessa Williams) and producer Lucas Goodman and I am really feeling what they are putting out.
After watching their Jungle Lady video, shared below, all I could think about was raspy notes waxed over basement buzzing wah-wahs and beats of Erykah Badu and J Dilla's magic on 'Didn't Cha Know' and I immediately added it to my playlist mix on Spotify.
As if this week couldn't be more awesome enough in the music world I can say that I'm excited about Flying Lotus' new album, titled You're Dead, that is set to drop on October 6th and all the shows that are scheduled shortly afterwards. Don't worry I'll post a list of a few shows below. But first to some of you who are new to FlyLo here's a link to his wiki here and his official site here that can bring you up to speed.
And if you don't care to read and you're more of an audio-visual learner like myself take a listen to one of my favorite tracks here or check out his new released track featuring another Cali native Kendrick Lamar and let me know what you think.
